Blackhawk has been a non-spectator Club course for many years, with excellent and locally-renowned competitor facilities on 219 acres.  It has always been popular because of its location about a hundred miles from both the Chicago and Milwaukee. The track is a favorite of the CCS, Midwestern Council, NESBA, SCCA, VSCDA, , and other local and national racing organizations.

The Donnybrooke Road Course, BIR’s original 3.1-mile, 10-turn road course, is still operational and continues to be a favorite of many racers who love the mile-long straightaway followed by the fastest turn of any road course in the country. BIR added a segment of track that connected Turns 8 and 1 to separate the drag strip from the road course, giving BIR the ability to run dual events that feature drag racing and road racing. The result was the 2.5 mile Competition Road Course

One of the oldest and best road courses in the United States. Open-road races were held from 1950 through 1952 on the highways through and around Elkhart Lake until legislation passed in 1953 banning racing on public roads. The facility sits on 525 acres of countryside in Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine area. Road America is one of only a hand-full of road circuits in the world maintaining its original configuration.
